Hereby, The Naval Agency of the Republic of Moldova as a Maritime Authority of Republic of Moldova (hereafter -NARM), informs foreign vessel eligible for an expanded inspection which intends to call port of Republic of Moldova to present the required information according point 17-” 17. The operator, agent or master of a ship eligible for an expanded inspection, in accordance with Chapter X, which is heading to a port or anchorage of the Republic ofMoldova, shall notify the arrival of the ship, in accordance with the provisions set out in Annex No. 3.” of Regulation on compliance with port state obligations approved by Government Decision no. 183/2024.

The NARM informs you that the vessel that is eligible for an expanded inspection will reserve sufficient period of time, in order the PSC authority to perform an expanded inspection, according to point 29 – ” 29. The operator or master of the ship shall ensure that sufficient time is provided in the operating schedule to allow for an expanded inspection. Without prejudice to any control measures necessary for security reasons, the ship shall remain in port until the inspection is completed. ” of the aforementioned Government Decision.

Failure to submit the mentioned above information or the information mentioned in point 9 -” 9. The operator, agent or master of a ship bound for a port in the Republic of Moldova is obliged to notify the Naval Agency ofthe general information providedfor in point 10:

l) at least 24 hours before entering the traffic control area; or

2) at the latest when the ship leaves the previous port, ifthe duration Q/the voyage is less than 24 hours; or

3) ifthe port ofcall is not known or is changed during the voyage, as soon as it is known. ” of the Regulation on the establishment of the Maritime Vessel Traffic Information and Monitoring System approved by Government Decision no. 413/2021 are eligible for a penalty according to point 199 ¹² from the Contravention code of the Republic of Moldova.
